Overhead Rigid Rail Systems for Rope Access & Abseil Safety

Access Safety Specialist supplies and installs precision-engineered overhead systems that improve worker safety, reduce façade access risks, and maximise efficiency during abseil and rope access activities. As a certified installation partner for Kattsafe rigid rail, davit arm, and needle systems, we deliver compliant and reliable rope access solutions across NSW, ACT, Newcastle and Wollongong.

Rigid Rail Systems

Our overhead rigid rail systems offer a permanent anchorage track that allows rope access professionals to traverse facades with ease and control. These systems deliver significant time and cost savings during ongoing cleaning, inspection, or façade repair tasks—while meeting stringent safety standards. Each rail is engineered to handle 18kN rope access loads or support up to 600kg per trolley for industrial-grade applications.

Davit Arm Systems

Ideal for areas with limited mounting options, davit systems create a safe cantilevered anchor point. The base is fixed to the building structure, and the removable davit arm can be shifted between multiple bases for maximum flexibility. Each unit supports one rope access technician and is built to sustain 12kN rope loads or a 400kg safe working load, depending on the application

Needle Systems

Needle systems offer the same cantilevered function as davits but with added mobility via a roof-mounted rigid rail. This allows the anchorage point to be repositioned along the roofline without the need for disassembly. Designed for single-user rope access, each needle arm is rated to 12kN and can also support up to 400kg, making it an excellent choice for high-rise access and regular maintenance tasks.

Fall Arrest Overhead Rail Systems Design, Installation, and Certificationchevronorangesvgfill3363
Our approach to overhead fall protection begins with detailed planning. Every system is designed in line with Australian Standards, Legislation, and relevant Codes of Practice.

When paired with inertia reels or self-retracting lifelines, our overhead rail systems ensure that users remain in restraint mode at all times—minimising swing and reducing suspension trauma risks.

We mount rails directly to structural purlins, metal decks, concrete slabs, or wall surfaces—giving you flexible installation options for locations where traditional fall arrest systems may not be feasible.
